Article 67. The Council has full power to make decisions regarding any activity of the Union relating to the objectives defined in Article 1.
In particular, it has the following powers and obligations:
(g) to decide the year and place of up to the limit of the next two Ordinary General Assemblies;

The following Member Committees have offered to host the 2005 General Assembly :

• China : Beijing
• India : New Delhi
• Turkey : Istanbul (addendum proposal Turkey)
• USA : Denver, Colorado (addendum proposal USA)

These four proposals have been examined and approved by the URSI Board of Officers.

The proposal of the USA is for 2005 and 2008.
