Dear Commission B Official Member,

The purpose of this short note is to remind you about the rapidly approaching deadline of January 1st, 2002, for nominations of candidates for incoming Commission B vice-chair at the 2002 URSI GA in Maastricht.

I trust that you agree that the election of the incoming vice-chair, who will then serve as vice-chair 2002-2005, and who is expected to step in as chair for the period 2005-2008, is a matter of the greatest importance for Commission B. Thus, I hope you will give the matter all the attention it deserves.

For your convenience I enclose again the relevant documents issued by the URSI Secretariat. If there are some item on the form that you are not able to include from the beginning in your nomination, you should indicate clearly that it is on its way at your earliest convenience.
